SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering solutions for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency mentioned it really is alarmed about the high number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the website substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office focused on service the area each day. The support stage created for intervention activities a large inflow of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tough for your Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to permit the servicing of all clients and maximize entry to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
